1950s Eddie Bauer quilted down jacket Blizzard Proof size small Sundowner label

Eddie Bauer pioneered the use of goose down in outdoor clothing, famously kitting out the US military and Everest expeditions and this is a rare 1950s example in excellent condition. The red outer shell has faded beautifully and has only minor marks. It has button cuffs with inner knitted cuffs to keep the cold out, button close pockets with hand warmer pockets to the side, brass Talon zipper and fur collar. The collar also buttons across at the throat. Overall excellent condition. As it says on the label, the 'lightest, warmest things on earth'. A real beauty.
