1950s French leather Le Corbusier brown leather workwear jacket large
1950s French leather Le Corbusier brown leather workwear jacket large
The less common brown version of the 'Le Corbusier' French workers jacket, which also has a leather collar, differing from the usual black ones that have a wool collar. These were initially issued to manual workers in government departments but late adopted by artists, architects and intellectuals, much as the British donkey jacket was. This one has is a large size with a drop shoulder, slightly shorter in the sleeve and slanted hand pockets, a checked wool lining and traditional striped cotton sleeve lining. It's in good condition with nice signs of wear and looks great in the flesh.
