Early US Army sateen M51 fishtail parka with heavy alpaca lining XL

A rare first issue M51, made in cotton sateen cloth and with its original alpaca fleece lining. Intended for use in the Korean War, these were only in production for a short while as they were deemed too expensive for mass production and were soon replaced with lighter versions made with cheaper materials. This one's in very good shape, retaining its original Talon zipper and with only a few field repairs and minor marks. The lining looks to have been patched up a little too. The faint trace of the stencilled size large remains but these are all big, with this one measuring 29.5" pit to pit, so essentially will fit anyone as they look great oversize. It's very heavy, warm and windproof.
