A very beautifully worn, faded and battle scarred example of the famous Anericsn GI jacket produced between 1941 and 1943, sometimes known as a Parsons jacket after General James K Parsons who suggested the Army adopt a jacket based on a similar hunting jacket. It's made in Olive Drab 2 cotton  poplin with a wool flannel lining, with action back, adjustable waist straps and two slash pockets, with a fasten over collar and throat tab. This one was found in France, where it seems to have spent its life since the war and has had its zip removed at some point as well as the sleeves being shortened, however they could be let down again if required. This has seem some action and is frayed at the cuffs, stained and generally worn. It's a pretty special jacket that looks and feels beautiful.
