WW2 British Army canvas three gallon canteen dated 1943

A lovely old thing, bearing the date stamp of 1943 and the arrow mark of the British Army. It still holds water and in theory you could drink from it but you definitely shouldn't. It seals with a lovely Bakelite screw top lid with a cork liner. Would make a great accessory for a Series Land Rover or early Jeep, or frankly any old car that requires a regular top up of water. Well marked, used, and lovely. to give an idea of size it's approximately 13" in diameter and about 5.5" deep.
